Who was going to tell me that my having studied psychology would also be trained in blogs, websites, márquetin, sales, business models, videos, social networks … the list seems to go on forever …
But that’s the price I’m paying for spending enterprising psychologist or rather, by becoming an enterprising psychologist.
I think I read in a book or saw a video of Raimon Samsó something like that in the digital era, or you transform a digital person, or die professionally.
What happens is that everything is moving so fast that, at times, this development is beyond me and I despair.
Especially because I never had a technical background, and there are things that other people may seem very simple, but for me, they are extremely complicated.
So today I want to explain a little of my process, and as a psychologist I became an entrepreneur.
- 1 Psychologist entrepreneurs from a blog
- 2 Blog to web
- 3 We learn from mistakes
- 3.1 You can not train you to dedicate only: to advance your project, you have to take action.
- 3.2 Better to do it and if you do not like change, because they do not have it clear.
- 3.3 There are things for which I need help because I alone am not enough for me.
- 3.4 If you practice every day a little bit at the end, you take practice and you just learn.
- 4 One step after the other
Psychologist entrepreneurs from a blog
It will be a couple of years, I started to raise the idea of having a blog, to share what they have learned during my years of training and experience and also, why not offer online services.
I contacted a friend and in a flash I set up the blog. Of course, then it took five months to put the contents.
Requires discipline have a blog, because ideally you regularly write, which I, could not in any way when I started.
One of the misconceptions was that if you had a blog, customers in all parts of the world I would rain … what naive …
Then I started to form and I realized that the online world was a totally unknown world for me, and there were a lot of things I did not know.
The more I learn, the more I feel overwhelmed. Well, I realized what I could do and did, not because they wanted to, but because one, can not cope.
In an act of humility, I accept that I alone could not, and I needed help.
Blog to web
I decided to go a little more in my project and I decided to set up a website, which had incorporated a blog.
My budget is limited, but I started talking to people and finally found a couple of friends who agreed to collaborate with me.
And as I explained to you on another occasion it took eight months to mount my web.
Along the way I learned about:
- Social media
So to be a complete technical illiterate (which for many things, yet I still am) I became a person who has learned a lot.
I chose to transform and not die.
Although I have, too, much wrong, but …
We learn from mistakes
Have you ever heard that you’ve got wrong more times, to learn faster?
These are some of the things I’ve learned in my journey as an entrepreneur:
You can not train you to dedicate only: to advance your project, you have to take action.
I remember there was a time when I go to a liking for entrepreneurs offering courses Barcelona Activa, Porta 22 and Cibernarium.
In fact, I have still a lot of dossiers with all the information, very interesting, indeed. It would all courses he could, but did not suit me one day to work on my project.
But for that training to be effective, you have to implement it.
And if you just spend you to train you no longer practice … “it appears” that you’re working on your project, but in reality, you are still sitting comfortably on the couch at home, but now, occasionally, you get up to go to some training.
Better to do it and if you do not like change, because they do not have it clear.
When I had to design the blog, I had many ideas in my mind, but the days passed and my ideas were still there still.
In the time you get to write on paper what you want, how you want, how you going to organize, etc., but not have it all clear, you start to put an order with your ideas and see a little of light.
But if you do not start, there is no way to enlighten.
My mother used to tell me that popular saying: If not for one thing, on the other, but in the end, the house is left unswept.
For that same it happens when you are enterprising. Have all kinds of excuses not to go to work.
The excuse may be the symptom of fear or insecurity unsurpassed.
But, the more excuses, the less action.
There are things for which I need help because I alone am not enough for me.
For a while, I tried to do everything myself. In fact, for super simple things, he spent hours searching the internet how.
And finally, he did, eh! For the record!
But you know the effort it represented for me?
However, he had the perfect excuse: “my budget”.
Until one day, I began to discuss my budget with a couple of friends and I got exactly what I needed.
Do you know what I advanced in a few months with his help?
So, assesses how far you can get and find the person who can go where you do not get.
If you practice every day a little bit at the end, you take practice and you just learn.
I remember the fear that social networks gave me … The first time I walked into twitter, took three hours to find the button to write a tweet (I’m ashamed to say it now …) but was so unknown to me … that and only the fear, blocking me.
With a little help, a little training and daily practice, I began to know the minimum things and, gradually, to defend myself.
Of course, I still have a lot to learn, but again, I realize that the only way to overcome fear is facing it.
One step after the other
If you have a dream or a goal, my advice and my experience is that step by step, in the end, things are achieved.
I know that I have much to walk, but I also know that I have achieved a lot.
And I keep walking.
And I continue my education.
And I’m taking action.
Facing my fears and managing my emotions.
At what point are you?
Share your way with others going in the same direction as you, makes it more entertaining and fruitful, so if you like, I encourage you to leave me a comment and tell me about yourself and your time.
